History of Maija Ranta
The Lost Sheep
Maija Ranta was born after the collapse of the Chronoverse on the planet Earth in the new universe of Zetalon. The planet Earth was one who follows the pagans or Ekom belief system. They believe in a separation of church and state, freedom of choice, and so much more. Maija grew up in Finland specifically and wasn’t the golden child of her parents, and suffered from some neglect as she grew up.
However, when she entered her last years of secondary school she knew she didn’t want to let her past dictate her future and set on a path to become a teacher. She passed all of her exams in psychology and teaching. Then became a high school teacher at the age of twenty four in the health subjects. She was making a good salary at ⊙22,000 (equiv. 110,000 $USD in 2023), helping many children work through some of their traumas. However, something felt wrong to her and like it was missing.
She had never attended any of the religious faiths services and felt they were probably not the best for her based on how her parents raised her. However, when the Pope was televised she felt drawn to him and like she could find answers if she at least went to hear him out.
She attended one of the Pope’s speeches in a local city and she felt a rush of warmth cover her body and broke out in tears. She approached him afterwards and even before she could ask him to help her, he said, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” She fell to her knees, bowed her head and told him she would follow him wherever it takes her.
From that day Maija was no more as she was recruited as one of his main thirteen disciples, given the name Sariel, and would serve him and Iah for the rest of her time with the Jedim Church.
Servant of the Pope
Sariel was one of thirteen disciples that were followers of The Pope. She was allied with Araqiel, Armaros, Azazel, Gadreel, Baraqel, Bezaliel, Khazaqiel, Kokabiel, Penemue, Samyaza, Shamsiel, and Yeqon.
Even though none of the disciples were aware of the Aeoliran influence over the Jedim Church and the Pope, Sariel was the most trusted by the Pope. She was with him often and supported the efforts to teach the masses on planet Earth about Iah and his divine son who came to the Zetalon universe.
Her and her fellow disciples met lots of opposition from the other religions factions as they claimed the Pope was blasphemy since only Iaāqab, Iam, Iasmin, Morningstar, and Satan. However, they would continue to claim that those children were usurpers and the only true child born from Iah imbuing his spirit into hueman was the Pope.
