History of Melanie Vandershine
Youth and Servitude
Melanie Vandershine grew up in the lands of Scotland with her father, the local Baron who served under the vampire lord, Masef de Matthecourt. She was a joyous child even after losing her mother at the age of twelve and enjoyed working with her father’s servants and training with the soldiers on the land. However, this did make it hard for her to become friends with the other aristocratic girls of Scotland since their interests didn’t align with hers.
She took a liking to one of her father’s servants, Mitchell Wingwright. As she turned sixteen and and Mitchell turned nineteen, their puppy love turned into full romance. Melanie was sadly delusional to her father’s willingness to tolerate her love for someone beneath her station. Instead he decided to marry her off to a local Duke’s son, Marquess Cephas Hayes.
However, they never made it to the wedding day due to Cephas’ sister, Adelina, catching Melanie with Mitchell. She told her family about what happened and they ended the marriage agreement. Baron Vandershine was irate and went on a rampage, sending his first born child away to the vampire lord, Masef de Matthecourt, so he would never have to see her again.
She served Lord de Matthecourt for four tough years to prove her worth. One day the castle was attacked by a pack of werewolves and she, a hueman, put her life on the line to protect and save Lord de Matthecourt. Due to her willingness to protect him and slay the werewolves he turned her into a vampire.
Conquering Bidqar
She was 480 years old when the multiverse system known as the Chronoverse collapsed and was merged into the one universe known as Zetalon. She, her castle, and her people landed on the planet Voluptas. Over the years she saw how despicable the aristocrats of Voluptas were, from doing drugs to purchasing children for their own benefit. She decided to capitalize on this as part of her network of power.
As she took control over the planet of Voluptas’ aristocrats and placed Damien Leblanc in a position of power over the pleasure district she became known as Madame Mel. This is mainly because she was still called Lady Mel as High Zetish differentiates the word Lady from Madame. However, the common Zetish spoken by the people she interacted with use the same script for Lady and Madame.
She protected the workers of the pleasure district but also used them to create a massive treasure chest of blackmail against politicians and influential figures across the Zetalon.
