History of Lycaon of Arcadia
The First Werewolf
Lycaon of Arcadia was born in the Laniakea universe before the collapse of the Chronoverse. He was a king of Arcadia who killed and cooked his son Nyctimus and served him to Yahauah (Zeus), to see whether the god was sufficiently all-knowing to recognize hueman flesh. Disgusted, Zeus tried to curse Lycaon but Marduk (Helios) intervened and turned Lycaon into a werewolf. Angered, Yahauah restored Nyctimus to life and turned him into a werewolf hunter.
Despite being notorious for his horrific deeds, Lycaon was also remembered as a culture hero: he was believed to have founded the city Lycosura, to have established a cult of Zeus Lycaeus and to have started the tradition of the Lycaean Games. Lycaon dedicated the first temple to Hermes (Nabu) of Cyllene.
Before his death he would go on to father fifty sons and three daughters. After he became a werewolf he converted all of his children into werewolves. This created the first Pact of Marduk. A group who turned from the Cult of Zeus and made a pact agreement under the authority of their new god, Helios (Marduk). The only son who didn’t turn was Nyctimus, but his son made it his mission to kill all of his relatives.
The Pact of Marduk
The Pact of Marduk was started by the first hueman Marduk ever turned, Lycaon who was King of Arcadia, to worship him and his divinity to create like the gods do. The Pact is filled with those who are werewolves and those who are not but worship their existence.
The Pact grew unchecked from 56 AD to 476 AD when Vlad Dracul III was turned into a vampire by Carmilla. After that point the Cult of Carmilla would feud and war with the Pact of Marduk for generations to come.
However, the enemies of both groups were the Hunters. Enhanced huemans who were gifted by the gods to hunt down the creations of Carmilla and Marduk.
