History of Kami Cook
Youth and Family
Kami Cook was born after the collapse of the Chronoverse to Jack Cook and Maddy Cook. She is the middle child with an older sister, Molly Cook, and a younger brother, Frank Cook. The homosuperior gene skipped her older sister, Molly, so when Kami’s abilities manifested themselves at the age of five year old, her parents were ecstatic.
Kami’s parents started to enter her into different homosuperior focused youth competitions so she could win rewards for her skills. She trained at different youth academies to learn martial arts and went on hunting trips with her father. Her younger brother also gained his abilities at the age of five and then her parents started seeing who could get the most awards each year.
She hated her parents for pitting her and her younger brother against each other. As she got older this created a rift between them as she started to fight against their demands at the age of sixteen. Since all of the competitions would act the children away from parents if they wanted to participate once they reached the age of thirteen she learned to stop lying and speak her truth.
This allowed her to get out of the competitions but she was in constant fights with her parents at home until she turned eighteen when they kicked her out. However, since her sister had already moved out and was now twenty two and had her own apartment she let her live with her.
The Rookie
Kami worked different jobs between the ages of eighteen and twenty eight before decided to join the Mishtara Police Academy so she could join the force. She joined the four year police academy so she could become a private in the Mishtara.
She took the name of Huntress at graduation and was assigned to a unit on the planet Elam, where she had completed her academy studies. On her first mission out she was reckless and under Rickshaw‘s command. She caught the criminals Mob and Dash.
After her successful work, Rickshaw was ordered to bring Huntress with him to Beyt Kele so they could meet with The Warden and Alpha. They were reassigned to the Internal Affairs Division and asked to investigate rumors of a sixth faction and the universe cracking.
