History of Graves Gresham
The Butcher of the Seven Seas
Graves Gresham was born in the Transylvania universe after the emergence of the Chronoverses. She was a notorious magically imbued pirate who made a deal with dark forces. He commanded both The Ghostly Kraken and The Howling Death. He would gain his name for the horrendous ways he would kill his enemies and those who committed mutiny against him.
During his reign as Captain he would command The Howling Death himself and place his Quartermaster Norvin Reed in charge of The Ghostly Kraken. He sought out the Seven Treasures of the Seven Seas that were claimed to have been left by their god Neptūnus. The gifts he would seek were Neptūnus’ Coral Crown, Triton’s Tideblade, Poseidon’s Pearl, Mermaid’s Melody, Ibzu’s Locker Key, Kraken’s Eye Gemstone, and the Siren’s Whisper Compass.
He would not find all of them before the end of his life but found the Siren’s Whisper Compass and the Kraken’s Eye Gemstone before being recruited by Fergus Vandershine to The Armory. He was given an offer he knew was too good to refuse and would join him so he could become the Pirate King.
The Armory
Captain Butcher would make a deal with Fergus that in exchange for him helping Lady Mel’s Armory he would be given the title of Pirate King and their full support in making the sea captains submit to him when she and Lord de Matthecourt became King and Queen.
He would recruit Regina Deamonne to their efforts to lead the witches. However, he would give up on his hunt for Seven Treasures of the Seven Seas when he found out that she was pregnant with his child. He would maintain the role of Pirate King but cared more about creating stability for his family than he did becoming a Pirate God.
Newer members of his crew began to think he was weak until he showed them how he got the name of Captain Butcher.
