History of Eulalia Nunes
The Scots and Portuguese
Eulalia Nunes was born on the planet of Earth-3.13 in Transylvania before the collapse of the Chronoverse. She grew up in the lands of Portugal in a dukedom family and lived the life of a bargaining chip for her father. Her father was a business man that had a lot of dealings of imports and exports with different countries. She was raised to be skillful but it was made clear what her duty was to the family at an early age.
One of those countries was Scotland. Their family exported wine, dried fruit, salt, leather, sugar, gold, silver, and kermes to the nobles of Scotland. Her father was presented with a proposal to prosper both his house and the Dukedom of Hayes. The offer was agreeable to her father so the entered into an engagement contract for their her and the Scotland son.
Eulalia was then told by her father that he would be wedding a son of Portugal so that they could negotiate the best rates. The agreement was for an exchange for both companies sharing in their profits for the benefit of the future children and providing each other the best deals possible.
Creighton would inherit his father’s seat in the Scottish Trading Company and ArsĂȘnio’s seat in the Imaculada Trading Company as the husband of Eulalia. They wedded later than most with Creighton being twenty three and Eulalia being seventeen years old. They both enjoyed each other’s company but the weather change for her from Portugal to Scotland took time getting used to.
After seven years of marriage they had their first child, Cephas Hayes, and were overjoyed. Over the years both of their families pestered them about having children to solidify their partnership. Six years after that their daughter, Adelina Hayes, was born to their family.
The Widow
Originally, Creighton had organized with Rancoff Vandershine to marry their children for both their benefit. However, that engagement was ended after they caught Melanie having sex with one of the servants.
As the years passed after that engagement was ended her husband would become sicker and sicker until he was bed ridden and died a year after that. It was found that one of the chefs had been poisoning him slowly with each meal but the chef didn’t even remember doing it.
This placed her son in charge of their family as she aged and tried to maintain her sanity. Behind her children’s father’s back, Eulalia was helping her daughter abort the children she became pregnant with by her son. After their father’s death she stopped caring to hide the pregnancies.
However, she would regret what they did all those years ago to Melanie Vandershine when she would be announced as the new Lady de Matthecourt.
