History of Crusandra
The Woman of Promise
Crusandra has existed since the Chronoverse collapsed and the emergence of the universe of Zetalon. However, she is very secretive as to when she was born and where she was born. It’s believed she was born on Voluptas since it holds a special place in her heart but no one can be completely sure if that is true. She was at least there to establish the first settlements of Namaq Madinah.
She eerily seems to know the future and can see prophecies. Even to the extent of knowing her own death and who would cause it. However, she believed that everything was necessary for the salvation of her people and so she chose to welcome Fergus and his ship’s crew into their home when Rebecca Bennett saved them from the water.
Her name Crusandra in Zetish means “Cross a Vow” and has been described as meaning to “Signify a Promise”. This has led some to believe that her real name isn’t Crusandra and instead it was a title she took on in response to a promise she may have made at a prior time. However, no one would ever learn the truth as her life was cut short, which devasted their village.
The Harbinger
When Merrion arrived in their village, pregnant with The Harbinger’s child, Crusandra wasn’t surprised by the story that Merrion had told her about what happened. Crusandra mentioned knowing who The Harbinger was and that her child would need protecting from a fate that is possible.
Crusandra and Merrion spent years hiding the truth from Rebecca Bennett and their village about her conception. It was a secret that would go to the grave with her but one she probably should have told Rebecca about so she could be prepared for what was to come.
The truth that Crusandra didn’t reveal to Merrion either is she once fought against The Harbinger in her younger years and she knew all too well what he was capable of doing.
