History of The Caretaker
The Convening
The Caretaker has existed at least since the Chronoverse collapsed and the emergence of the universe of Zetalon. However, it is believed that he existed even before that but no one knows for sure. When he first appeared in Zetalon he looked to be sixty eight years old but when asked his age he only smiles and taps his nose with his right index finger. He is a man of mystery and intrigue but trusted by both the Gavah Moatzah and the original royals who established order in Zetalon.
The first time he appeared was after the Gavah Moatzah and the factions led by Tristia, Elisabet, Gabriella, and Whitney were not seeing eye to eye in their negotiations of who would establish the rulership of the land. He called for Shikh Alohi (𐱂𐰃𐨓 𐰁𐰞𐰈𐨱𐰃), meaning “Divine Parley”, a phrase that the four women did not know but the Gavah Moatzah instantly recognized and adhered to.
The nine of them went into the private chambers of the Gavah Moatzah and discussed with no one else present. Whatever was discussed by them with The Caretaker resulted in a peace that allowed both groups to exist and work together. The Caretaker was granted diplomatic sovereignty and declared untouchable as an ally of both the primordials of old and primordials of new.
The Athenaeum
The Caretaker had no delusions of grandeur or ideas of ruling the land. Once the parley had completed he decided to join the Athenaeum and spend his time quietly sharing stories with children and those who would listen to him.
One story from his own past he used to tell Stacy as she grew up was about his wife. He told her he was married once to a beautiful redhead with a firecracker of a personality. He told her that even in his prime during his early days they would go off on adventures across space and time saving people and stopping wars. He called it Tales of the Red Wolf, it was one of Stacy’s favorite stories growing up.
For some he even told them visions of what could come and helped them interpret his dreams. However, he wasn’t a feeble old man and could fight if needed. He carries with him a nanoscrewdriver, which is a modified version of the nanoblade. With it he can create a cane that he has used to fight thugs around the Athenaeum who try to attack their patrons.
