History of The Bachelor
The Unstoppable Force
The Bachelor’s origins is kept a secret from even his followers. However, it’s evident that he was born in Zetalon after the Chronoverse collapsed due to him being a Time Walker. He is a madman who is the archenemy to the Priest. He is the son of The Priest and Tristia. He would become a Time War Lord before being condemned to the prison realm of Beyt Kele.
The Bachelor was a menace to both those aligned with the forces of good and those aligned with the Aeoliran Faith. He once crossed paths with The Purifier and his followers. That interaction resulted in an interdimensional war after on a whim The Bachelor decided to team up with The Priest to wage war against The Purifier. His claim was “only I am allowed to destroy The Priest.”
He has regenerated many times and no one is sure how many incarnations he has had but The Warden has kept a record of the versions of The Bachelor that have been reported to him and which histories The Bachelor remembers when he is arrested.
Lives in Reverse
Later, it would be discovered that The Bachelor and The Priest lived their lives in opposite directions when it came to timelines. The reported 1st incarnation of The Bachelor would meet the 9th incarnation of The Priest. The Bachelor was managing The Devil’s Den crime syndicate when The Priest arrived with Brutus Shasta to try and thrawt their plans by request of The Warden.
The second time they would meet would be her 2nd incarnation and The Priest’s 8th incarnation. During this time she was operating an alien smuggling and slave trading business. However, The Bachelor placed the bounty of freedom for the slaves to anyone who could kill The Priest.
The third encounter was during his 3rd incarnation but The Priest’s 5th incarnation. He was becoming more of a mad scientist and madman who would try to conquer Zetalon. He set out to destroy the place where it all started for the Time Walkers. He succeeded in aiding the Thralaks in waging war against Zetalon and destroying several of the planets in the universe. However, The Priest was able to stop him by summoning all incarnations past and present of himself to outwit The Bachelor.
They would later meet again during his 3rd incarnation but now the Priest’s 2nd incarnation. He thought if he could find a younger, uneducated, version of The Priest he could potentially stop him. He was able to break some of the worse criminals out of Beyt Kele so they could wreck havok across the time stream. However, The Priest had The Nosea as a companion. The Nosea would reveal the truth of The Bachelor’s origins, his parents, and the fact that his actions caused the war that would kill his own mother. This sent The Bachelor into an existential crisis as he didn’t understand his own purpose anymore. He would try to change time and rectify his action but would be stopped by The Sentry. He would turn himself in to live out life as a prisoner from that point forward.
They would meet once again when he had atoned for his crimes in his 5th incarnation and The Priest’s time as The Ramaadiyuu. He had taken on the name of The Atoned. And was a teacher at the same academy that trained The Nosea. He would meet this version of The Priest when his mother, Tristia, was his companion. He would accidentially reveal to her that she was with child by The Priest which caused Tristia to return back to home and leave The Priest’s side in her travels.
